Digital Lifestyle

There are many different aspects to the things that contribute to the changes in our everyday life that brought us to this “digital lifestyle” that we’ve come to. The changes to our cell phone, computer, and even T.V. advancements has changed the way our people live our everyday lives. Things such as, the way we communicate with one another, down to the ridiculous amounts of money we spend on these gadgets. Our society has become way too dependent on these digital ways of life that we have come to a point that, without these gadgets, the ability to do things like communicate with one another has almost become obsolete. The digital lifestyle, before you know it is, in my opinion, is  going to take over our society and us as human beings are no longer going to know how to communicate without the use of texting, emails, etc.

This video was fairly interesting...i never knew there were so many different windows. Out of the ones that they showed, i probably only used three. Although, windows has come along way, i feel as though my favorite windows software was Windows 2007. The newer ones have become to complex and hard to maneuver for a person who isn't "computer savvy"or as they would say "computer illiterate".

Do i agree with the fact that desktops will become irrelevant? yes! With how fast the way technology is growing because you can pretty much do everything you do you have to do on a smart phone, like, complete applications, search on the web, read books, etc. The only thing that you cant do is do things like, word, excel, and PowerPoint. So with that being said, i don't think it'll happen as fast but i definitely do think with time the desktop will be very irrelevant.

Application Software

Application software that i use regularly is PowerPoint. With this app, you’re allowed to make a presentation to your classmates, a board, or even maybe for a job. This application software allows you to more efficiently present what is it is your presenting with you main points and even some pictures. Some advantages to PowerPoint is that you can present you project and give your audience a visual of it, for example, put pictures and little pieces of information, its convenient because you can add timers or even maneuver it with the click of the mouse and you can stop it at any time to answer and questions anyone may have, and last but not least, When preparing a PowerPoint presentation, the advantages include flexibility, creativity and ease. PowerPoint offers a variety of pre-made templates and layouts for users. Power makes your presentation, in my opinion more exciting and interesting than any Microsoft word or hand written presentation. One reason why i believe other students should use PowerPoint is because not only is it more fun to work with but it’s not rocket science and is not time consuming.

Web 2.0

Web 2.0 in my opinion is the best thing ever invented being that i don't have to physically communicate with people. With web 2.0 you now have the option of sharing things over social networks without having to go to your local CVS to print the pictures and send them out, which is really awesome. You can use this for even socializing with friends who are far who you may not be able to see on the daily base. Web 2.0 to me is just really useful.
